Constitution Day 2012
September 17th is the anniversary of the signing of the United State Constitution. On Monday, all fifth grade classes came to the library to listen to our guest speaker, Joshua Davis, an attorney with Faubus & Scarborough LP. Mr. Davis read the book If I Ran for President by Catherine Stier and had great conversations with our MWE students about the presidency and elections. The Houston Bar Association sponsored the event.

Bluebonnet Reading begins
Third, fourth, and fifth grade students are being introduced to the 2012-2013 Bluebonnet books. There are so many fun and interesting titles by some outstanding authors! Students will report to a library worker (Mrs. Lewis or PTA volunteer)when they have read a Bluebonnet book. Each student will bring his or her tracking sheet to the library for the library worker to initial after asking a few questions about the book.
Our goal is for all third, fourth, and fifth grade students to read the required FIVE books by January to be eligible to vote.
Let's get reading!!!
